TRADITIONAL PUB & BISTRO IN GUERNSEY

LOCAL ALES & PUB GRUB

The Cornerstone Traditional Public House & Bistro offers a classic pub atmosphere in Guernsey that tends to be hard to come by these days. The pub is named after “The Cornerstone” which was placed in 1700 and marks the location of one of four gates that locals used to access St Peter Port. Our unique location is a stone’s throw away from the famous Victor Hugo house (Hauteville House), the town centre and St Peter Port harbour.

TRADITIONAL PUB GRUB

Our menus offer all the usual hot and cold meals including daily specials that are available from one of our friendly staff members.

REAL ALES

You can enjoy local Guernsey ales brewed on the island sold at our friendly cosy pub. One of the only traditional free houses in town!

LIVE SPORTS

Are you a sports fan? You can catch all the action from major sporting events live on any one of our five TVs or on our big screen.

Closure Announcement

To all Cornerstone customers, friends & suppliers.

It is with great regret that I have decided to not reopen The Cornerstone.

This has been a challenging time for many businesses, especially those in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Since becoming the owner in April 2019 it’s been a heck of a journey and a very special experience. I would like to thank my crew and can honestly say we gave it our best shot.

I would also like to thank all of you for your business and friendship. Many a good time was had! I look forward to seeing you all during better times as we start to get back to the new ‘norm’.
