Cornerstone is a social house, a place where people come together in order to socialise which involves conversation, people watching, eating and drinking and generally enjoying the company of others.

Tucked away on Cornet Street just a stone’s throw from the centre of St Peter Port, you’ll find the iconic Cornerstone. With a rich history dating back to the 1700s, its recent renovation has made it as cosy in the winter as it is charming in the summer.

The menu combines a mix of pub classics, French bistro, vegetarian and vegan dishes. There will be seasonal specials and revolving favourites on our blackboard, and keep an eye out for our family-sized sharing roasts on Sundays.

You can even enjoy the sunshine in our alfresco drinks terrace at the front of the building. Join us for a sundowner or make more of your lunchtime by soaking up a few rays.

At Cornerstone we take our drinks menu rather seriously. We have lager, ale and ciders on tap, along with a selection of bottled beers & ciders, cocktails, shots and a large collection of spirits

Our wine menu has been extensively researched, we hope we can satisfy all palates and ensure no one goes thirsty!

Sumptuous Steaks, Pub Classics & French Bistro Dishes

Our menu covers pub classics with a contemporary French influence and beautifully presented, along with more delicate fish and seafood options, and some vegetarian and vegan dishes – which pack a punch of their own!

We also have a delicious range of steaks, including our signature dish, a feast of a chateaubriand for two served with a whole grilled lobster – the ultimate surf and turf, or as the French say ‘Ooh La La!’

Our specials board will be updated daily depending on what is seasonal and fresh in our kitchen. We hope that our menu will always be evolving to suit the tastes of our customers.

We also have a kids’ menu and a 5.30pm sitting especially for our youngest customers.
